Phoenix, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Crash Blocks Left Lanes on I-17 at Thomas Rd

Phoenix, AZ (August 31, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash blocked the left lanes of Interstate 17 at Thomas Road on Saturday afternoon, August 31.

Officials at the scene say that the wreck involved at least three vehicles, which collided in the right lanes of I-17 southbound, also known as the Black Canyon Freeway, at Thomas Road around 2:15 p.m. Police and fire rescue units also responded and were assisting injured victims, though the cause of the crash remains under investigation and the drivers’ information has not been released.

All lanes reopened by 3:00 p.m., but traffic was slowed in the area for several hours.
