Tempe, AZ (September 4, 2019) – Injuries were reported after a crash on Interstate 10, which blocked the Broadway Road on-ramp on Wednesday afternoon, September 4.
The multi-vehicle wreck, according to police, occurred around 4:30 p.m. and added to rush hour traffic jams in the area. Local authorities were joined by fire rescue units at the scene, who assisted the injured victims and worked to determine the cause of the accident. Though the cause isn’t clear at this time, it appears that both vehicles were traveling in the right lanes of the off-ramp just before the traffic light and were headed for I-10 eastbound when they collided.
Both vehicles sustained damage in the crash on I-10, also called the Maricopa Freeway.
The drivers of both vehicles pulled over to give their statements; however, their information and the extent of their injuries are not known at this time.
