Tempe, AZ – Multi-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries on I-10 at 7th St

Tempe, AZ (September 16, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash resulting in injuries occurred on Interstate 10 near 7th Street on Monday evening.

According to officials from the Tempe Police Department and Tempe Fire Rescue, at least two vehicles were involved. Officials say that the wreck appeared to occur when multiple vehicles were traveling in the right lanes of westbound Interstate 10, also referred to as the Papago Freeway, and collided in a chain-reaction crash as traffic began to slow. Tempe Paramedics were also at the scene and appeared to transport at least one victim to an area hospital.

Two of the vehicles sustained property damage and were pulled on the shoulder of the highway as first responders arrived. Per officials on the scene, none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening but the crash is still under investigation at this time.
