Goodyear, AZ – Boy Hit & Killed by School Bus Near 144th Ave & Indian School Rd

Goodyear, AZ (November 15, 2019) – A boy was taken to the hospital and later died after being hit by a school bus in Goodyear Friday afternoon.

It happened around 4 p.m. near 144th Avenue and Indian School Road, which is close to Western Sky Middle School.

Goodyear police say the victim is between 12 and 14 years old. Friends say he’s 13. The boy had life-threatening injuries when he was taken to the hospital, according to the Goodyear Fire Department. He later died.

“I looked over and I see this kid and him and his skateboard. He was under the bus,” said Deanna Pearson. She pulled up to the intersection just after the accident. “His mom came up. I ain’t never hear a scream like that before. I’ve never heard a scream like that. And I just held her and started praying. My first thing was to pray.”
