Phoenix, AZ – Critical Injury Reported in Truck Accident at 39th Ave & Clarendon Ave

Phoenix, AZ (November 4, 2019) – A man is in critical condition after a crash and fuel truck explosion in west Phoenix late Monday evening.

According to the Phoenix Fire Department, crews responded to a vehicle fire near 39th Avenue and Clarendon Avenue following an accident. Reports from the scene indicate that a fuel truck exploded after a crash and a 40-year-old man suffered burns to his head and face. He was transported to a local burn center via ambulance in critical condition.

It is unclear how many other vehicles were involved in the crash. The current conditions of other drivers involved have not been released, though photos appeared to show paramedics treating victims at the scene.
