Phoenix, AZ (December 29, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 17 near Black Canyon City on Sunday has resulted in heavy traffic and several injuries.
The Arizona Department of Transportation released an advisory for the wreck that follows a day of crashes and backups on I-17. Traffic on north Interstate 17 near Black Canyon City cleared earlier in the day after two crashes Sunday morning, which also caused hours of delays for people leaving the Valley.
The collisions occurred within two miles of one another near Rock Springs and Black Canyon City around 11:00 a.m., and Phoenix EMTs were at the scene to treat victims. The victims’ information and current conditions have not been released, though the accident remains under investigation at this time.
