Glendale, AZ (January 13, 2020) – A Glendale woman has died and another man has been injured after an apartment fire early Monday, according to the Glendale Fire Department.
Crews responded to the fire at the Connect on Northern apartments near Northern Avenue and 52nd Avenue around 2:30 a.m., fire officials said. The man and woman were removed from the apartment, but the woman later died from her injuries, and the man was taken to the Arizona Burn Center in Phoenix in critical condition.
The male victim has been identified 22-year-old Timothy Leonor, and the woman who died was Timothy’s girlfriend, Heather Williams, who he said was around 40 years old.
Fire officials said 11 people have been displaced as a result of the fire.
The American Red Cross assisted at the scene of the fire, and it remains under investigation.
