Phoenix, AZ (September 5, 2019) – On Wednesday night, September 4, police responded to the scene of a truck accident that led to the fatality of one person on I-10.
The accident, according to police, took place due to strong winds in the area, causing many drivers to lose control. The accident took place around 8 p.m. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the trucks had been pulling box trailers. Two instantly rolled into the westbound lanes while the rest tipped over in the eastbound lanes when the strong winds came through.
One person was instantly killed at the scene of the accident, while another was injured in the accident.
Police claim that the road was blocked for several hours while clearing the scene. Their investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
