Phoenix, AZ (September 5, 2019) – On Tuesday night, September 3, a woman was killed and a man seriously injured in a fatal accident that took place at a Phoenix intersection. The accident took place about 25 minutes from Mesa.
The accident took place at the intersection of 16th Street and Indian School Road. At the time, 49-year-old Dawn Christa Cash and a 55-year-old man were crossing the street in the intersection when they were struck by a pickup truck. The two had been in a crosswalk at the time.
Police claim that Cash was tragically pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. We do not know his condition at this time.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as an 84-year-old driver, who was not injured in the accident. Traffic was blocked in all directions after the crash.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
