Phoenix, AZ – UPDATE: Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash at Greenway Rd

Phoenix, AZ (September 25, 2019) – A man struck by a car near 52nd Street and Greenway Road early Tuesday has now died, according to Phoenix police.

Per information from authorities, the 69-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck near the 52nd and Greenway intersection. He was rushed to the hospital via ambulance by Phoenix EMTs, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

Another pedestrian walking with him, a 69-year-old woman, was also injured and transported to an area hospital. However, further details on her condition are not available.

Phoenix police officers say the driver involved in the accident remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the wreck.
