Peoria, AZ – Child in Critical Condition After Drowning at 75th Ave

Peoria, AZ (October 11, 2019) – An 18-month-old child was transported to the hospital on Friday morning after being pulled from a swimming pool at a Peoria home.

According to officers from the Peoria Police Department, the incident occurred at a home near 75th Avenue and Thunderbird Road. A family member pulled the boy from the pool and started CPR until first responders arrived on the scene. Video from the scene of the drowning accident shows that the swimming pool is not fenced.

Fire officials say that Peoria police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident occurred to investigate.

The boy’s condition was initially reported by fire officials as critical, but officials have since said that his condition is not confirmed. Peoria Police Officials said that the child is alive and being treated at a local hospital.
