Tempe, AZ – 1 Killed & 4 Injured After Crash on L-202 at McClintock Dr

Tempe, AZ (October 11, 2019) – One person was killed and four others were transported to the hospital on Friday after an accident on Loop 202.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said that crews responded to the four-vehicle collision on eastbound Loop 202, also known as the Red Mountain Freeway, at McClintock Drive around 3:00 p.m. News footage from the incident area showed the multi-car accident blocking three lanes of traffic as emergency crews worked to rescue the victims and transport them to the hospital.

It appears that one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but the conditions of the other victims remain unclear.

Officers from the Tempe Police Department are still investigating the crash at this time.
