Phoenix, AZ (October 11, 2019) – A motorcyclist has died after an accident late Thursday night.
According to officials from the Phoenix Police Department, 62-year-old Terrence Albright was traveling eastbound from Desert Cove Avenue when he pulled onto northbound Cave Creek Road in the two-way left-hand turn lane. At that point, he collided with a southbound-traveling Dodge that had entered the turn lane and prepared to turn left onto Desert Cove Avenue.
Albright was transported to a hospital via ambulance by Phoenix EMTs, where he later died. Police said he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The 25-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Dodge remained at the scene, and police said that she showed signs of impairment. She was cited for DUI after the accident and released. She and her two passengers were not injured in the collision, per reports from officers.
Our condolences go out to the family of Terrence Albright at this time.
