Tucson, AZ – University of Arizona Student Dies in Fall at Posada San Pedro Hall

Tucson, AZ (October 12, 2019) – A University of Arizona student has died after a fall early Friday morning.

University police said in a press release that they are actively investigating the death of the male student at the Posada San Pedro residence hall. The department said the student was believed to have fallen from a walkway. 

Officers responded to a call about an unresponsive person inside the dorm’s courtyard around 2:37 a.m. on Friday. UA Emergency Medical Services and the Tucson Fire Department performed life-saving measures on the man, and Tucson EMTs transported him to the Banner University Medical Center via ambulance.

The student had signs of trauma consistent with a fall and died at the hospital at 6:13 a.m.

UA police are still investigating the incident, and the victim’s name was not released by the department.
